SUMMARY:Gathering in Memory of Susan Schepp
DESCRIPTION:Friends of Susan Schepp are invited to an afternoon gathering in her memory at the Center. So that staff can plan for the event\, please contact the Center if you plan to attend–preferably by the 18th of April. There will be opportunities for friends and family to speak of their appreciation of Susan and her life. A walking trail will be named for her and a tree planted. Refreshments will be available\, with tea and coffee served in cups that Susan made for the Center.

SUMMARY:Seven-Day Retreat with Sandra Gonzalez and Susan Schepp (in-person and online)
DESCRIPTION:Sandra and Susan have been engaged in meditation and meditative work at the Center for many years. Sandra give talks and take part in the afternoon group dialogues\, as well as being available for group and private meetings. Susan hopes to attend the retreat\, but health issues unfortunately limit the extent that she can participate. \nSandra Gonzalez has led retreats in both English and Spanish for several years. She began working with Toni in 1988. Previously\, she studied at other meditation centers. Sandra was born and raised in Nicaragua. She leads or participates in retreats in Springwater and other locations each year. She writes: \nPresence invites presence when there is no resistance\, no ownership of ideas\, experiences or things\, no worrying\, no hurrying\, no judging\, no defending–just the ease of life when we meet without wanting things to be otherwise. Certainly we all can participate; presence is free and available to all of us. There is a true beauty in this. \nSusan Schepp has a deep commitment to meditative work and has been involved in the Center since its inception. She has a small collection of poems she’s written at the Center\, including one she read during a talk last June: \nRipples upon ripples\nstretch across the pond\nThe golden glistening stems of cattails\nbend graciously in the wind\npaying homage to the day.\nLeaves released from their trees\ngently float across the sky.\nOne wonders\nis there really such a thing as inside and out?
