Wednesday Evening Sitting/Dialogue hosted by Kirk Warren Brown

Kirk Warren Brown is on the faculty in the Department of Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University, where he teaches and conducts research on the impacts of meditation on people’s lives. He has been retreating and working with teachers at Springwater Center since 1999 and has facilitated meditation groups in the spirit of the Center’s work since 2005.

In this new online group offering we will meet with each other in silent meditation and in group dialogue to bring presence into our lives in meaningful, enlivening ways. Beginning in January of 2024 the group will meet Wednesdays from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm EST, with 25 minutes of meditation followed by an hour of dialogue. Kirk writes: “Presence, or awareness, is not a skill to be learned, but an inherent capacity we all share, however veiled it may seem. Thus, all are welcome.”
