2025 Annual Appeal
It all happens with your help!
Hello friends,
Springwater Center makes an appeal for support just once a year. Please consider what the Center has to offer and offer your support in return.
New initiatives have been underway this year to bring Springwater Center’s meditative work to you. The Calendar will have full information once it is finalized.
Online Meditative Dialogues with guest speakers – The teaching committee has been working hard to identify new speakers to take part in this immensely popular program, which will continue in 2026.
January Retreat with Liz Heron – Her first retreat in January 2025 was very well received and Liz will return to lead another 4-day retreat in January 2026.
Ongoing Zoom Dialogues with Kirk Warren Brown – The Center will be sponsoring Kirk’s online sitting and dialogue group: “Weaving Inquiry into Everyday Life.” All retreat participants will receive an invitation to join.
Facilitated Quiet Weeks with Judith von Radetsky – Judith will visit the Center in September 2026 and be available to share her experience of working with Toni Packer and her own life of meditation.
Extended All-Day Sitting – The August 2026 All-Day Sitting will offer an opportunity to return the next day for a continuation of the program, effectively making it possible to take part in a weekend retreat.
Our annual appeal comes at a critical moment this year. As several on staff have needed to tend to health or personal matters, we have had a smaller team doing more work to carry on the work of the Center. As this situation came to a head, we have recently had to close the Center to guest stays for limited periods for the first time. Your generosity will sustain the center as we bridge our staffing shortfall and return to full operations as soon as possible.
This year also finds us facing the challenges and opportunities of passing the work of meditative inquiry to a new generation. Old friends of a younger generation are coalescing in their love for Springwater’s work and its land. Members, trustees, and others have given their time generously as we begin to develop more concrete plans of future stewardship. We have an outstanding and committed team, but we need your help. Your contribution to the annual appeal will ensure that our evolving team has the resources they need to attract and nurture a vibrant staff community, face the challenges of our changing world, and develop a vision for Springwater that will resonate with new generations.
Please, support Springwater Center during this time. Your contribution will help us build a robust future for our beloved center that has touched the lives of so many.
With sincere thanks,
