Saturday Retreats
All Day Sittings are now called Saturday Retreats. This name change reflects how our guests use these days for a short retreat experience, as well as our open schedule with no required sittings.
If you would like to attend a Saturday Retreat, please complete the Saturday Retreat registration form. The requested contribution for attendance is $35 for members and $40 for nonmembers.
Saturday Retreats are one of the most popular ways to participate in the work of Springwater Center. We come together for a day of sharing silence, sitting, listening, and meditative dialogue. The day begins at 8:30 am with silent sitting, includes a talk by one of our teaching staff, a vegetarian lunch, a group dialogue, and refreshments and social time before concluding around 4pm. This provides a daylong retreat-like environment without the time or financial commitment of attending one of our retreats.
All scheduled activities are optional. You may prefer to sit on your own indoors or out, read, exercise, or walk the trails on the beautiful land. Saturday Retreats are held in silence (indoors and out), with time for socializing at the end of the day.
