Welcome Summer

All growing things are lush and verdant with rain and sunshine, warm and cool weather by turns, and moonlight and fireflies.  It’s a wonderful time to visit Springwater Center for a retreat or Quiet Weeks, or as a guest or volunteer. The peaceful setting lends itself beautifully to meditative inquiry.
July 20-24 Four Day Retreat
Due to family circumstances Les Schaffer will not be leading this retreat. Fortunately Richard Witteman, Sandra Gonzalez and Wayne Coger are in residence and will be stepping in for Les. This is a rare opportunity to hear talks and take part in meetings with these teachers. There remain openings in the retreat for both single and shared accommodations and for full and part-time attendance.

Quiet Weeks, August 19 – 31

Quiet Weeks offer the opportunity to design your own retreat–with options for timed and open sitting, group dialogues, and individual meetings with teachers in residence. You may attend as many days as you like, and you may combine two retreats with the Quiet Weeks to create a month long retreat. Immediately following these August Quiet Weeks will be a seven day retreat with Sandra Gonzalez, September 1-8.
You may participate in Quiet Weeks either as a guest or as a volunteer.

Brush Hog Repaired

Brian Hudson, repair and maintenance guy extraordinaire, has had the brush hog repaired and is reclaiming fields from  brushy growth, including invasive species that contribute to erosion. Much gratitude to Brian.

Volunteers Help Spruce up the Center

The center is fortunate to have three volunteers join us this summer. Gabrielle Maisels, Jesse Casper and Isaac Gewirtz are donating their time and muscle on various projects around the building and in the garden. Thanks to each of them!
